RCT3 Custom Map: Fluffy Mountain
Last year I published a number of Sim City 4 maps and while I love the game, the experience was waning on me. I jumped over to another of my all time faves Galactic Civilization II and posted some of my custom ship packs, then I set out to find more custom content I could make. That’s when I thought of Roller Coaster Tycoon 3.

Follow Reishika Shepard’s progress
It’s been a few days since the release of Mass Effect 2, my collectors edition and I are going to have some fun -when we can find the time, to play it through. I’ll be using xFire -much like I do with other games, to keep a visual log of my progress and events in the story.

Island Nation: custom Sim City 4 map
The last ‘quick-play’ map I posted, Stain, was almost too quick to play. I found that with only small and medium size city tiles available busting any population caps was near on impossible. I did however find the mountainous, water surrounded, terrain fun to play with and it’s that base we start with here.

Galactic Civilization II: Ships of the Reileian Exchange
After the fun I had creating the Battle Fleet Gothic set of Galactic Civilization II ships I decided to create a new civilization with it’s ship style based loosely on another quite popular Sci-Fi IP.

Galactic Civilization II: Battle Fleet Gothic
Yes I still can’t get enough of GalCivII, it’s my favorite space strategy game right now and it was made better when they released version 2.0 late last year (2008). With that 2.0 update came a new standalone ship creator and it’s that creator I’ve been playing with again.

Free RPG Poster Set
I woke up one day last week and thought ‘I want to create something quick that I can give away to my friends and that they’ll be able to relate to’. That thinking of course lead me to games. The great connector!

Stain: custom SimCity 4 map
This lunchtime I spent about 30 minutes trying to create a ‘quick-play’ custom map. Yes that’s right, in complete opposition to my ‘bigger is better‘ approach to custom regions I decided to create a much smaller map using only medium and small city sizes.

Sector 1: custom SimCity 4 map
Last time I posted a custom map creation we talked about creating a center piece for my theoretical planet. Well that didn’t really work out the way I wanted. I pressed on.

Sector 7: custom SimCity 4 map
‘Enough playing around, try something big’ is what my brain kept taunting me while doing the last custom map. So I thought ‘you brain, are on’ lets make a multiple large city region. Yes technically my first custom map had multiple large cities, but I’m talking more than a deuce.

Sim City 4 play session – Solaris
Last time I played around with road layout, I cheated some and pointed out some ‘what not to do’ things. This time I’m gunning for a large city zone fueled by many smaller cities. The Solaris custom map play session.

Sunspear: custom SimCity 4 region
My SimCity 4 resurgence has to thank, at least in part, anime. To be more specific, the cities of sci-fi anime. It’s not the buildings themselves I’m interested in, but the layout of the cities and the interesting problems that arise from heavily man made or customized foundations.
